Custom Home Builder in Florida
Alexander² Construction is a boutique luxury builder founded by brothers Collin and Tyler Alexander. Both principals are on every project. We build fewer than ten custom homes a year across five Gulf Coast markets — and that constraint is deliberate. It means the people who planned your home are the same people on your jobsite every week.
We specialize in coastal and waterfront construction — FEMA flood zone compliance, hurricane-rated fenestration, elevated pile foundations, and the marine-grade detailing that Gulf Coast living demands. Florida Certified General Contractor, license CBC1266523.
Why a Florida Custom Home Builder Is Different
Building a custom home in Florida isn't the same as building one in the Carolinas, Texas, or the Northeast. The Gulf Coast carries requirements that reshape every phase of design and construction.
Hurricane Code
Florida Building Code requires impact-rated windows and doors, engineered roof-to-wall connections, and structural tie-downs designed for wind speeds up to 180 mph in coastal zones.
FEMA Flood Zones
Most Gulf Coast parcels fall within FEMA V-zones or AE-zones. The designation determines foundation type, finished floor elevation, and flood insurance economics for the life of the home.
Elevated Foundations
Coastal parcels frequently require deep pile or helical pier foundations to meet base flood elevation. This isn't an add-on — it changes the structural engineering of the entire home.
Coastal Permitting
Florida's county-by-county permitting, DEP coastal construction setback lines, and mangrove buffer regulations add layers that builders without local experience consistently underestimate.

What We Don't Do
We think clarity about what you won't get is as important as what you will. Alexander² is a deliberate operation — not every builder is the right fit for every client, and we'd rather be honest about that upfront.
No Production Plans
We don't offer pre-designed floor plans or catalog selections. Every Alexander² home is designed from scratch for the specific lot, client, and program.
No Franchised Model
We're not a franchise, not a network, and not handing your project to a project manager you've never met. Both founders are on your job.
No High-Volume Work
Fewer than ten homes a year. That cap exists because we won't scale past the point where Collin and Tyler can personally lead every project.
