Where We Build Across Florida
Alexander² Construction is an owner-led boutique luxury builder operating in five Florida Gulf Coast markets. Collin and Tyler Alexander personally lead every project, from first site visit through final walkthrough. Ten homes a year max, across two distinct coastal regions.
Collier & Lee County
Barrier islands, FEMA flood zones, 170 mph wind code, and island delivery logistics. Southwest Florida custom construction requires direct coastal experience, not a transfer of mainland practices. Our Collier and Lee County builds are designed to FBC 2023 wind and flood standards from the ground up.
Marco Island
Barrier island custom homes. Elevated pile foundations, canal-front builds, and V-zone coastal construction from Hideaway Beach to Cape Marco.
View Marco Island →Naples
Luxury custom homes in Naples' most established neighborhoods, from Old Naples waterfront estates to Park Shore and Port Royal.
View Naples →Fort Myers
Custom homes across Lee County: Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, and post-Ian coastal rebuilds on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel.

Where Alexander² was founded. Tampa Bay waterfront construction runs from Davis Islands and South Tampa to Snell Isle and the Gulf beaches of Pinellas County. Our St. Petersburg headquarters keeps us hands-on across every Bay-area project.
St. Petersburg
Alexander² headquarters. Custom homes in Snell Isle, Old Northeast, Pass-a-Grille, and Shore Acres, Tampa Bay's most coveted waterfront neighborhoods.

Custom waterfront homes along Bayshore Boulevard, Davis Islands, South Tampa, and Beach Park, Tampa's premier residential corridors.
View Tampa →How Our Regions Differ
Florida's Gulf Coast is not one market. Southwest Florida and Tampa Bay have different lot conditions, code requirements, and design vocabularies, and our builds reflect that.
Southwest Florida
- Wind code: 170 mph design speed (HVHZ-adjacent)
- Foundations: Elevated piles common on barrier islands
- Flood zones: Predominantly AE and VE
- Logistics: Single-bridge island delivery and staging
- Vocabulary: Contemporary coastal, transitional, Bahama
Tampa Bay
- Wind code: 150 mph design speed (FBC 2023)
- Foundations: Slab and elevated, site-specific
- Flood zones: Mix of AE, X, and shaded X
- Logistics: Urban infill, historic district overlays
- Vocabulary: Mediterranean, modern, traditional restoration
Across Every Market
Custom Homes
Ground-up custom construction on your lot or ours. Every home designed and built to the specific conditions of its site: flood zone, wind code, soil, and waterfront exposure.
Coastal & Waterfront
Canal-front, seawall-integrated, and Gulf-access builds. Elevated pile foundations, FEMA-compliant design, and marine-grade finishes built for salt air and storm surge.
Teardown & Rebuild
Demolition and new-build on established lots, particularly in post-Ian coastal communities and legacy neighborhoods where existing structures no longer meet code or owner expectations.
Owner-Led, Open-Book, 10 Builds A Year Max
We are not the biggest builder in any of our markets, by design. Collin and Tyler Alexander personally run every project under a cost-plus open-book contract. You see every invoice, every change order, and every line item from foundation to final walkthrough.
Site Visit & Feasibility
Lot evaluation, flood zone, setbacks, soils, and rough order of magnitude before a contract.
Design & Pre-Construction
Architect coordination, code review, value engineering, and a transparent line-item budget.
Build & Walkthrough
Owner-led job site, weekly client updates, open-book accounting, and a documented punch list.
About Our Service Areas
Do you build outside these five markets?
We consider projects throughout coastal Florida on a case-by-case basis. Most of our work is within our five core markets because being on-site matters. If you have a meaningful lot or vision elsewhere on the Gulf Coast, we'll have a conversation.
How is building in Southwest Florida different from Tampa Bay?
Wind code, flood zone designations, and barrier-island logistics. Marco Island and Sanibel sit in higher wind-load and VE flood zones with island delivery constraints. Tampa Bay is mostly slab-on-grade with urban infill conditions. We build to FBC 2023 in both regions, but the engineering and sequencing differ.
Are you licensed to build in all of Florida?
Yes. Alexander² Construction holds Florida Certified Building Contractor license CBC1266523, which authorizes new construction statewide. The license is verifiable through the Florida DBPR.
What does "owner-led" actually mean on the jobsite?
Collin or Tyler is on every active jobsite weekly. Not a project manager, not a foreman. You'll have direct cell-phone access to one of the owners through the entire build, not a layered communication chain.
Can you handle out-of-state owners?
Yes. A significant portion of our work is for buyers and second-home owners based in the Northeast, Midwest, and Chicago metro. We run weekly video updates, photo-documented progress, and centralized digital approvals so owners 1,000+ miles away stay current without flying down.
How many projects do you take on at once?
10 homes a year max, full stop. That's a structural limit on our model, not a marketing number. Owner attention does not scale, and we'd rather decline a project than dilute the ones we have.
Don't see your market?
We consider projects throughout coastal Florida on a case-by-case basis. If you have a lot and a vision, we'd like to hear about it.
